The TiMax Matrix Processors TiMax Audio Imaging level/delay matrix systems now come in two basic formats, modular and non-modular, both with XLR analogue I/O as standard or XLR AES/EBU digital I/O as an option :

 

The classic TiMax Rack Systems, are modular and expandable from 8-in/8-out up to 32-in/32-out, housed in an 8U chassis. Comes bundled with the TiMax software and a proprietary high-speed parallel DIO control interface card to install into the PCI slot of a dedicated desktop PC. The PC should also be fitted with a professional MIDI/SMPTE-capable soundcard if it is intended to use MIDI/SMPTE cue triggering. PCMCIA card interfaces for laptop are also available.

 

 

The new TiMax Image Makers, which come in two non-modular formats at lower price points achieved by eliminating costs due to modularity and expandability - but without compromise to performance or quality. They run on identical TiMax software as the TiMax Rack Systems:

TiMax ImageMaker8, "IM8", (8-in / 8-out, 3U)

TiMax ImageMaker16, "IM16"(8-in / 16-out, 4U)

TiMax ShowControlPC, 4U rackmount, quiet but robust and tourable, minimum 3GHz Pentium4, 120Gb/1GbRam PC with 2 x DVD/RW, 2 x RS232, 2 x USB, Firewire, WinXP Pro, TiMax Software and TiMax PCI DIO control interface card installed. MIDI and SMPTE interface is NOT INCLUDED, but we recommend MOTU Micro Express.

 

TiMax SoundTablet, a powerful and quick cue-driven sound effects editing package for anyone with a modern desktop, laptop or tablet PC. Provides eight independent audio sample tracks per Cue, all with independently editable Play Zone, Loop Zone, Track Slip and Volume Profile. When used with TiMax dsp delay matrix, SoundTablet also provides a unique drag ‘n drop waveform-based pan programming function. For multi-channel audio and MIDI we recommend M Audio Delta 1010 (or LT), or MOTU 828MkII to include SMPTE.

 

The TiMax Relay Interface, a 1U rack mount unit housing eight Event Relays which can switch up to 240V/8A event triggers programmed in the TiMax software Events page, independantly for each TiMax cue. Connects to the standard parallel Printer port on the TiMax ShowControl PC.
